Maybe you’re pretty happy with the home you have, but you could just use a little more room.  Perhaps a new kitchen, an ensuite bathroom or a family room is in order.  Time to consider an addition or garage conversion.

The big challenge with new additions and garage conversions is ensuring that they tie into the existing home well, both structurally and aesthetically.  Skill and experience is needed during the construction stage to deal with challenges such as temporary supports, weather protection, or unexpected challenges like the discovery of mould behind existing walls.

Another important consideration is the assessment of your home’s existing systems including the wiring, plumbing, heating and air conditioning.  Will your existing air conditioning be adequate for the new addition?  Should you be looking at an additional water heater on the second floor?
